JUAN MIGUEL DEL PRADO represents the perfect blend of Nevado, Majestuoso and Hilachas lines.
From his sire, Nevado, Juan Miguel received not only the trademark Nevado rabicano 'ticking' in his lustrous
bay coat, but also his precise and tireless gait. From his maternal grandparents he received phenomenal
hocks and the refined and elegant 'Hilachas head'.
Juan Miguel del Prado made his showring debut at the age of two, when he took the Grand National Championship,
Two Year Old Bella Forma Colts. He repeated this performance as a three year old and went on to win numerous
regional championships in both saddle and bella forma classes. Even at twenty years of age, Juan remains competitive in bella forma, defeating younger stallions as recently
as the 2009 season.
Juan is a proven producer, with over 75 babies on the ground. He was named as one of the most influential stallions
in the recent Mejia book "The Colombian Paso Fino". He passes to his offspring his even temperament, height and elegant head.
Offspring from this versatile and flexible line are competitive in and out of the ring and are being ridden in everything
from limited distance endurance championships to National Pleasure and Performance classes.
Juan is an excellent choice for the mare owner looking to add height, refinement and range of motion to their breeding
programs.
Offspring of Juan Miguel are eligible for the Nationals and Mason-Dixon
Futurity programs.
